This Friday, July 12th, join experienced astronomer volunteers from the Seattle Astronomical Society (SAS) for a night of stargazing at the first Tehaleh Neighborhood Star Party at Discovery Park.
They will bring their telescopes and binoculars to share with the community, but feel free to bring your own.

We will start the night off with an "Introduction to Stargazing" presentation that
begins just after sunset. If you plan to attend the presentation, please install the free app "Stellarium" onto your mobile device before hand; it is available in the app store. We will use this app to help us find things in the night sky.

The event will begin just after sunset and go until 12am.

* If you bring a flashlight please make sure it is covered red. Note: No white lights at the event.

* If you take a picture please make sure you have the flash turned off and take a long exposure.

* No pets or children on leashes please. They have a tendency to get tangled and overturn telescopes.

* Bring a comfy chair or blanket and binoculars if you have them to look up at the stars.

* Bring a thermos of your favorite hot drink to help stay warm.

* Our event is on Tehaleh Community park grounds, so remember no alcohol allowed.

* Please don't litter.
